i dont beleive there is a forced induction option out on the market for the 08 yet, and im pretty sure bradwhite is the only one with an exhaust for now.

hey derek i found a cut down shifter for the 08 on F2usa.com in case your interested on adding it to the aftermarket list, NemesisEnforcer said he talked to steeda and they sould have a true short throw out on the market within the next couple of days, just figured id let you know in case you didn't see my thread about it.

Great work Derek! This was much needed for us 08 guys.

I have a question. If the only difference between the PZEV and the non-PZEV FoFo's is the ECU tune, does that mean all we have to do is get a performance ECU tune and bye bye goes PZEV? And would us PZEV dudes get those missing ponies that the non-PZEV guys have?

Thanks.[ffrocks]

and the pzev actually does some sort of recirculating of air on start up to reduce emissions... look in the threads i have created... its called something like what the hell is pzev and how do i know if i have a pzev... lotta info there

Yeah I think the PZEV reuses some of the exhaust gas, more so than most EGR valve systems, too achieve the low emissions. Not sure though. But I guess that can be whiped out with a ECU tune that disables the EGR valve, like the FocusSport ECU tunes.

^^One more issue, there is no tune for the 08' yet. SCTflash keeps saying they're close to releasing one. But, I've been hearing that from them for months.

^^^^ Yeah I know! I think the first I have heard them say that was way back in March or April. Its already September and still no tune[rant] But as soon as it is out I will DEF have to get one. Plus a CAI than exhaust!![race]

You don't have to wait for the tune before you do the CAI and exhaust. Well let me qualify that because I'm not positive about the CAI. I have the Steeda SRI and it has an insert that restricts the airflow enough so that you don't have to have a tune, remove the insert and you need that tune. I'm dying to remove that insert !!!

I've already done my exhaust (2 1/2") with no issues without the tune.

Luke, that might be an interesting question to try and get an answer to and add to the list. When is a tune required? Also the fact that we can't get one yet.

^^^^ How do you like the sound and have you notice any pick up from having the exhaust? If so how much?

Well, I love mine - nice throaty tone and when you jump on it there's no question about it, you're not dealing with a stock Focus. I can't quantify the amount of HP added, but my butt sure likes it.

yeah the bottom end and midrange def had the most benefit...my stealth setup sounds like an 0EM-spec exhaust upgrade. On long trips, when the exhaust temps stay high for a bit the exhaust note is slightly more noticeable and has a deeper tone. This past weekend my fam and I dropped my sis off at Boston U and the exhaust sounds great going through the tunnels.

Sweet! after I lower my ride I'm getting an exhaust for sure. Thanks Brad and Vermillion, you guys are alright[thumb]!

You're welcome, and you'll love it when it's lowered. It will be a new car, you'll actually enjoy taking corners, your passenger might not - without something to hold on to - but you will. That's why my wife is all for reclining racing seats now, she doesn't like joining me in my seat on right hand turns. She sat is Stolle's racing seats at our G2G and has been sold on them since (thanks Stolle!).

You can add the F2USA short shifter to the list. I installed mine a few days ago. I wrote up the install HERE.

DO NOT confuse the F2USA short throw with the look-alike knockoff on Ebay. And the picture on the F2USA web-site is not an accurate representation of what you will receive. See the pics in my write up for that.

No hassle, straight forward install, without any issues. Significantly reduced the shift pattern. I'm lov'n it!

Pay real close attention to what some other companies are calling a "STS". Rumor is, and the picture I've seen confirmed it, that all that STS is doing is raising the stock shift cable bracket a little bit. No, I don't know that for a fact, I still haven't seen what someone actually gets in their hands, but if that really is the case, well you might as well just raise your own stock bracket like NemesisEnforcer did.
