I can't decide if I should go with a 205/45/17 or a 205/40. Anyone have pictures of a 205/45 or 205/40 on a 16x7 or 17x7 so I can get an idea of how it looks? Thanks

I picked out the Momo Winter wheels already and those are 7" wide.

Agreed. 215/45/17 is what I run on my car on a 7" rim. I always try to fit the widest tire within reason. Some sizes are harder to come by, and I always check the overall diameter of the tire in Tire Rack's specs to insure I'm not going to have speedometer discrepancies.

I'm not sure about 225/40/17s- that size might be correct also- or within reason. Just checked: Those are competition only tires, with only Hoosier making a tire that size from Tire Rack. 225/45/17 is more common, and has a 25" overall diameter as compared to the 24.7" diameter of 215s. You'd be going slightly faster than your speedo said you were going, and if the suspension was lowered you'd want to make sure you were rubbing with factory snubber height.

I am running 205 45R17 here a photo, i had asked them for 215 but they gave me 205, I like to go as wide and as low as possible on my next set thought, possible might look in to stretching!

215 is a factory. also if u go 205 u will see u will put more gas in. so spedo off more & rpms up. means more going out n gas.

Here try out ideas. see ur revs & mph. stock SVT is 215/45/17. put in what sizes u want & see the change. also put in what ur door says for ur 15 or 16 inch wheels if u like. this is best way to get good idea
