[thankyou]
The most recent Road and Track magazine published just talked very well about the Focus RS. All these magazines used to be very good, because (back in my day ....) in the 90's that is pretty much all you had to get information from. Once the internet boomed magazines pretty much became extinct like cassette tapes.
Back to the car though, it is sad they force options that some might not want on cars to get certain packages or things...... I personally do not think the 1.0 should be hooked to an auto.
Yes my stick has power to climb hills , but the car is slow. 18.6 1/4 mile slow with short shifter, k&n replacement, and muffler delete(3hp/6tq). Slap an auto onto a stock 1.0......... I am pretty sure I would hate this car with an auto, personal opinion of course but there just is not enough power and the car wouldn't be as fun because of the loss of extra power.
The 1.0 tuned with a few mods, putting down 160+hp to the wheels, an auto would be just fine.
As for the cosmetics, I want a black grille on mine, but I dislike horizontal grilles, I prefer honeycomb. (I disliked this generation focus until the changes in 2015 and never liked focus's until now)
Then the fact that an auto is put in the "Sport" package is funny[?|] [facepalm] and it's also just a regular auto trans too. As much as I hate CVT's , the last one I did drive I thought that a better CVT would work great on the 1.0. Especially for mpg, would be slow as all hell, but way better mpg by being able to just hold 1500 or so rpms while accelerating.
