Awesome I'm stoked for you!

I know someone has already had it for 5 days and hasn't put theirs on yet ; P

haha

Well got the exhaust on tonight. First thing i noticed was it looks just as shiny as the picture. Getting the old one off was a slight hassle since I had to cut it in front of the rear suspension. I did this just so It can be put back to stock easier. Anyways first thing that I noticed was they only sent me 4 bolts and 4 nuts which is 4 shy of what the system requires. They did have plenty of lock washers and all 4 gaskets. The next thing I noticed was the holes in the flanges have some play with the bolts they give you so I subbed them for a bigger size we had in the shop. Now the last problem I ran into is they have a hanger on the piece that goes over the rear suspension and connects the muffler assembly to the s pipe. I am not sure why this hanger is here because there is no hanger on the car for it and you can not fit the pipe where it needs to go with this hanger on so I just cut it off and everything went smooth from there. All the other pieces went on very nicely and fitment was perfect. I pieced it all together just hand tight under the car so it would hold itself up then I started at the front flange and worked my way back tightening all the bolts and making sure the pieces were lined up nicely. The only tricky bolts to tighten are the ones connecting the muffler section to pipe over the suspension. But is possible with some patience and fancy positioning. Once I got it all tightened down I noticed the tips come out directly below the valance so trimming is not needed but I do recommend a tiny bit to keep it from melting to the tips. Anyways first start up sounded mean. It is quite loud. I took it for rip around the block. First noticed the car takes off easier with less throttle. After getting everything warmed up a bit I romped I through third gear then came to a stop light on my next normal take off I realized the car had gotten louder. It must have broken in a little. Anyways the tone is decent a little raspy. It does drone in the cab. All in all for the money I am happy. The first straight section of pipe could be easily removed and fitted with a resonator or small muffler if you wanted to quiet it down. I will get pics and a video up soon. I will also be throwing it back on the lift in the next few days to make sure everything is still sealed nicely and in the right place. Sorry if this was a little drawn out.

Very nice! Kinda weird how they put that random hanger there but not too bad for the price it seems. Really looking forward to videos!

Video yet?:D

I went to about 3,200 rpm in this video. The car only has 60 miles on it so I'm trying to break it in nicely. The other guy was right it was missing bolts. Need 8 came with 4. And you do have to remove a hanger. There is a drone in the cab under acceleration. But it goes away at any cruising speed. If you like loud this is perfect. I love letting people know I'm here. If you are looking for performance with out noise. This is not it. The car does seem to take off easier. Again I really haven't got on it yet.

Just ordered the J2 Exhaust for my Foci last Saturday, should be here Thursday. we'll see how this goes and i will take this thread into consideration.

Wow, haven't been on FF in a long time. Happy to see this out already. I had the original prototype for this system. It went through 2 modifications and took about 8 months to produce, IIRC. Because it had to get sent back after modifying and sent back here for test fitting.

Honestly, the way it is, it was a little raspy above 4500 RPMs, but I had the pipe from the header cut and had my stock cat welded up. Makes a hell of a difference. No raspy noise anymore and sounds really good. The mufflers are packed and I have been running them for 8K miles now. I get a lot of compliments and people ask if it's an ST all the time. It's definitely loud, but not loud enough to get pulled over.

Piping is 2.25"
