Hi all,

I've just bought a 2012 Ford Focus EcoBoost and the language for the displays is set to Russian, as is the voice command.

I have tried following the manual but i can't read any of the instructions on my display as they are in Russian and i can't seem to find a languages option anywhere in the settings either.

Its like it doesn't have a menu for changing the language even though the manual says you can choose from 12 languages.

Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Ross

Disconnect the battery and leave it off for an hour or so. If Russian isn't the cars default setting then it should revert from it. If not I'd use a Russian translator app and navigate through settings to change it to the language you are comfortable with.

Don't think so...

I recently disconnected my battery for 2 hours doing the Cruise Control install and sync remembered my language (French normally default to English)

The language setting is there, you just have to read Russian.

Or.. Look at someone elses car, and scroll through and find their's (in English) write down which screen, how many and what steps to get to it. With noting which position each step setting is, which position of the touch is used.. etc.
Then you are able to skip having to 'read' anything. Just go by mechanics of the system display.

In Russia, you don't drive car. Car drives YOU. lol... a little humor to lighten the mood.

Cracking up at some of the replies here. I had a 2018 rental Focus in Germany a few months ago, and I couldn't figure out how to turn on the cruise control. No problem - pulled out the owner's manual...in German.

I messed with it some more and got it going.
