Sorry to sound nexbie but i'm not sure which flex pipe would i go with for the obx long tube header since its a similar length to the svt header. Would i get the svt flexpipe or get the zetec flexpipe since i'm eliminating the cat? thanks for the help
also where would i find a mil eliminator i was looking on Steeda.ca and couldn't find one

What size is the OBX header.....2.5"? What size is the rest of your exhaust 2.25", 2.5", 3"? Your flex pipe should match the rest of the pieces. For instances if your header + exhaust is 2.5" then for the best results you should get a 2.5" flex. I'm not sure what the SVT flex is but with the OBX the standard Zetec flex will probably not be what you want.

You mentioned eliminating the stock cat......so are you going with an ORP or hiflow cat?

As far as the o2 cheater check www.McNewsautomotive.com

thanks... the rest of my exhaust is the magnaflow 2.25" and i was planning on eliminating the cat since where i live there are no emissions requirements at all i just don't want my cel on...
what i meant by the flex pipe i'd want is would i go with this one:

http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1147

or this one:

http://focus.c-f-m.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1936

would this eliminate my need for a ORP or HFC by having one of these flex's in?
I didn't see the MIL eliminator on Mcnews but maybe i don't know what i'm looking for

If it's a long tube header, then you don't use the orp for the zetec. u use a orp w/ a shorty header. you would use the zetec flex pipe. diameter is up to you. The only way you use teh svt flex is if you get the svt header kit.

people say that obx has really improved the quality of their parts.

i just saved up for a while and got the svt setup, but if i was to pick another header it would have to be another 4-2-1 style header. more low end torque i think. i dont know for sure but i think the FC header is 4-2-1, that is if you can find one.

does anyone know if the FS header is any better than the OBX? i mean, are the primaries any bigger or anything like that?

Negligible differences between all, just like most of our parts. One vs the other isn't going to make that big of difference. IMO a few HP/TQ really isn't that big of a deal and not worth arguing over or extra $$$.

FC race headers are known to crack between the #2 and #3 primaries. My first gen did (the wimpy flange that looks close to the stock flange) and my second gen did (the beefy flange). But they are easy enough to weld up and make work. Also the coating on the second gen seems a lot thicker. My old one flaked off and got dull pretty fast. This one is holding up really well, and been on for 5 or 6 years now I think.

Haven't any experience with others though. But I think I'd trade my FC for a SVT in a heartbeat (kinda fits with my current swap goals, SVT head).

easy and cheap way is go to your local muffler shop and they can make you one. i have a two piece OBX header and i was using the factory one then i had them make me one after i got my center borla exhaust. but the two piece header gets rid of your cat i just have a MIL eliminator on mine to keep the light out and its fine it passes inspection fine.
