I think Jbutks has one and he said it did and that you had to enlarge the mounting holes a bit. I believe he bought stiffer motor mounts tomkeepmisnfrom banging.


I'm set on the mounts then lol. Just did them.

I'm going to have to look into it because that header is really nice.
 
yeah it did bang on the cross bar a little bit under hard acceleration but replacing the mounts solved the problem. i had to drill the holes on the flex pipe a little because i intially had the header hooked up to the stock exhaust and the bolts on the stock exhaust are welded on so you can adjust them at all. if you do the stealth exhuast and the header at the same time then you most likely wont have to drill the holes out because the stealth exhaust comes with new bolts.

If Fswerks fit not so bad ( just a tad shorter) does it means the other duratec (2005-2011) fit the same????
any duratec header will fit to the engine, it just may need a little adjustment to fit to the exhaust.

ALL fs werks would have to do is modify the downpipe to make it straighter, add a 2nd 02 bung...
i agree. if they just made a different flex pipe and then sold the header they already had it would be fine for the mk3. they could put the second o2 bung on the flexpipe similar to the obx header.

What do you have to adjust to get it to work with their stealth exhaust? Doesn't it bang against part of the frame a little bit?
You'll need a poly dogbone to keep the motor from rolling more then the oem one, as 2 primary tubes are close to the sway bar to start with. Mine hasn't hit, its just close, like .250'' or so. I also had to oblong one of the holes on the bracket that bolts to the block.

it looks more like a cross member but the sway bar is definitely right there too so it could be the sway bar.

No I think because the mk2 downpipe is curved is the problem, it needs to be straight

Best header for a focus.
Not the best for MK3 due to downpipe having to be custom fabricated, sorry, I have to let people know this because mine bangs like a mofo and its very annoying...have a 2.5" shorter flex pipe coming and then I'll get the a custom downpipe made.

Sadly, looks like for now the OBX is the best header ... speed-daddy looks meh
