I can't even go through the car wash without my car fogging up. and I mean BAD. like full on defrost with AC on and I still can't see bad.

if it's raining out. any time I stop the car fogs up. idling at a stop light it fogs up. I basically have to run the defrost all the time if it's wet out.

anyone have similar issues?

Never heard of anyone having those issues. My windows fog up easily when it's been a while since I washed them, but turning on the hot defrost (especially with AC on) clears it up within seconds.

I have been having the same issue with my car now that the weather has gotten colder. I find if it's damp out, or especially when it's raining, I have to run the defroster all the time otherwise I get completely fogged up on the inside of my windows. I even notice if I turn the defrost off for a few mins it becomes fogged up in no time.

I haven't taken my car to the dealership yet, but let me know what your dealer says about your fogging issue. Thanks and good luck at the dealership

On long island its been colder here, and in the morning it takes a good 5-10 min for the car to defrost....idk if thats normal but it sure shouldnt be. Hopefully trading it in for a sel hatch with winter package, which will be much needed in a few months, heated mirrors are a must.

that's the issue i'm having.

it's not a defrosting issue either. just a fogging issue. my car is parked in the garage at night so frost isn't a problem.

i'll update as I hear

Hey everyone!

I'd like to look into options for assistance. Please send me a PM with your full name, best daytime contact phone number, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealership (with appt. time).

Fog on the inside or outside? Fogging of the glass only occurs when the air humidity is sufficiently high enough to condense on a cooler surface. Likely something is wrong with your vents/blowers or air conditioner itself, or something is blocking the dash vents.

Same here. When it was raining cats and dogs last night, I had to keep my defrost on and couldn't even have the air directed towards me or the windshield/windows would fog up immensely.

Thought it was because of hot breath (LOL!) but now I know otherwise.

Thanks for boostin my self esteem guys

This is happening to me as well. Any damp-ish day, I notice the window fog on the front and back. Usually have to either crank the a/c and defrost, or crack the windows.
Hi trahker,

Have you seen your dealer about this? Please send me your Focus' odometer reading and I'll see what I can do. :)

daytime, night time, hot or cool. doesn't matter. if it's raining, and if I stop. it's fogging. even with the engine running and ac/defrost blasting.
Does your AC work / make the car cold?

My first guess would be the drain for the cowl vent or the AC is blocked, not allowing moisture to escape. Maybe you could check to see if there is dripping from the bottom of the car when the ac is on to see if it is draining properly. If not, that may be it. I haven't had any problems with this and we have had a lot of wet days lately.
