Hmmmm... someone needs slicks for the track, that would drop a second off the time.

OMG my head hurts......
I didn't use trap speed.firemanfrank said:LOL. But just remember what ruck caused me to discover ....
That the formula is not designed for Trap Speeds that exceed 100 mph!
How about low 12's....... that's what I am aiming for. Shit I originally wanted to break into 13s NA, but I dont think that is going to happen...... I need BOOST.Yel900rr said:Why all the excitement over a 13.7 boosted car. Around here that wouldn't make an SRT-4 blink much less any Honda. NA yes but not with a turbo. I would figure his WHP to be in the 200whp range looking at MPH and weight(if the car hasn't had any weight reduction). With the right setup on these engines they will eventually be like the Mitsubishi for power. The heads flow very well. I think you need to raise your standards. JRSC Zetecs have pulled that kind of MPH. The Duratec should do a good bit better exspecially with a turbo. I wouldn't waste my time on a non intercooled setup. The Hi Boost kit will be out soon with an intercooler for about the same cash and a nicer manifold. We need to get these cars in the mid 12's.
Amen to that rock!rockn4 said:to me a 350whp Focus is not a daily driver. But when u got it, you got it!
With all the work on that setup It should have plenty more. Stock engine with good rods and pistons should handle that with no problem. We will be handling the Hi Boost kits for the Duratec. Very nice manifold and a quality kit for about the same cash.SoCalDuratec said:Randy from FS is putting down 350 whp 320 wtq or so with his 2.3 daily driver....... intercooled, cossie rods, FS pistons, cossie 2.5" exhaust ....... pushing 23 psi.
i agree mid to low 14's is enough to run on the road and be satisfying going through turns and shit.....firemanfrank said:Amen to that rock!
I GOT RID of a 13 sec. SRT-4 to get my Focus ST, so I really couldn't care less about turning it into a "12 sec." car.
I say that the Cossie St. 2 (which will get you mid 14's) is plenty fast.
Want a faster car than that?
Then people should stop spending thousands and thousands of $$ on our loveable lil Focus, and go buy a Fully Warranteed 'Stang GT, GTO, or Vette.
That's my .02 (plus some!)
Sorry to butt in again, but how about Viper [Then people should stop spending thousands and thousands of $$ on our loveable lil Focus, and go buy a Fully Warranteed 'Stang GT, GTO, or Vette.
Umm, I made the correction (sort of .. he he)ruckmn said:fireman,

IMHO, it is the ultimate in low class to jack a thread about someone's experience at the track by dogging the the excellent work of a respected Focus performance vendor for the sole purpose of promoting a competing product that you will profit from selling.Yel900rr said:With all the work on that setup It should have plenty more. Fireman we tune all of those cars and they all make some serious power. Rear wheel drive and the 1/4 mile works well. We have an 03 Cobra with 800 in bolt ons and tuned running 11.8 and its a convertible on street tires.

I for one won't be buying from McNews.
