Here's my reverse glow gauges. The LCD screen is no longer green, it's red with some pinkish to it, looks really good. Sorry for the blurry pic.

 

^^Hey you have a 2003 like mine, how did you change the screen color? I heard our year has a green film that must be scratched off, is that what you did?

Looks much nicer than if it was stock green with those gauges!

PS- one day the recoloring of cabin LEDs will be undertaken for my car too! (Evil green-minded Ford people![])

 

I bought this little billet plug that goes into the 12V outlet. It's small mod but I like it.

Ya, there's a pretty nice tutorial out there with pics by some dude, (I think if you looked online, you know what I'm talking about)

So when ever you take the gauges apart, you'll see the double LCD screen, and right behind that there's a litle "plastic" piece. It looks white, but when you shine light through it, it turns out to be green. So once you get that "plastic" piece out from behind the LCD, use some sand paper to remove the green stuff from the back of piece. Once you scratch the back surface, you'll clearly see the green color, get rid of it, it's evil! So then in step 3, he mentions that you need to put electrical tape on the back of that piece, and voila, you're done. Well I tried that, and it was just copletely blacked out, the tape was too thick for the light to go through. So then I tried to sand some of that tape off, and no luck there either. So then I got some broken tail light tape, which is red and very trancelusent, and put it on the back of that "plastic" piece, intead of the electrical tape. It worked great. And this is what I got.

Oh BTW, my "it's time to shift" arrow that points up, is red also, thanks to broken tail light tape. Chech the pic above to see what I'm talking about.

here's my interior... 2 tone seats front/back and door trim. too bad the pic sucks so you can't tell the color tones accurately.
