i think i read that you can't. THe sync is designed with the ecu. I mean i'm sure it's possible? However i would think it's way more expensive and a pita than it's really worth. Someone else will be able to clarify but i'm saying no.

I am sorry if it has been beaten to death, but I did use the search feature and nothing came up other than after market decks for an 08 or some crap

 

Yeah SYNC uses a Microsoft based software system that shares programing with the ECU so it can't be done.

 

I think I am going to design a PC for the car cheap and easy to install maybe an interesting task thanks for all the help

 

Yea you can do a carputer, but the sync system is integrated into the car in sooo many ways. There are a few guys the have done the carputer on here and I think it is pretty slick.
