Well, i have this noise in the front end, sound like the suspension is making it, is more like a "clunk" when i turn or go over little bump, it feels bad when it does it, but is not all the time... any ideas???....

Planning on getting all the suspension bushings soon, but still want to figure this out...

thanks for the help

actually i have that same issue but cant identify the exact reason of it at all.. I know for sure the end links are the caus of the noise but theres no excuse for it. all the parts are brand new.

I had the same issue over a year ago and replacing the swaybar end links did the trick, I also replaced the swaybar bushings with polyurethane the old ones were like "glued" to the swaybar, try it is the cheapest thing to replace from your suspension.

subframe bolts (there are 10).

With suspension rattles, the handling would also be distorted.

I would check the subframe bolts as well

Yeah a cheap place to start is by replacing the end links but usually that can be just a little clicking noise if they are gone. Maybe a clunk of they are completely broken.

If the suspension is clunking which mine had been doing for about 20k miles and getting worse, it is probably time for new struts.

I have about 73k on my SVT and just finished the front struts last night. Clunking is gone and it was always clunking when taking a turn or over bad highway expansion joints.

It seems as though the SVT struts lose a lot of their compression dampening early on (50k miles) though the ride quality stays pretty good. You don't get the bounding up and down because there is still enough compression and rebound dampening to cope but it is enough to allow the suspension to bottom too easily.

I am replacing my rear dampers this morning.

Good luck.

Not necessarily. The sway bar links are cheap and easy to replace, so should probably be the first replacement part(s). I did both of mine and it tightened up the front end a bit, but I still had my 'thunk'. My issue was worn out mount bearings in the shock strut. That was fixed when I replaced my front struts (the OEM SVT kit comes with the bearings).

It sounds like the problem I had. Bad stablizer to strut links. Their about $30 - $35 ea.
from the parts store. replace in pairs. Take off front tire, lower wheel (not on rotor)
on block and check for any freeplay in link as your lowering the car. Any freeplay is bad.
Took me about 1-hour for each side. First time is always longer.

Old thread, but you guys should also check your strut mounts. When I moved into the city I was hitting a lot of rough spots and the occasional new pothole I hadn't discovered yet. The bump stops got destroyed and then the strut mount bearing went. Would make a good clunk noise when turning or hitting bumps.

Pop the hood, and look at the strut mount from the top. If you see the top of the strut jump from side to side when turning the wheel then it is the mount. $60 for a Moog I think. I am no expert but this is my experience.
