Hand tight plus a 1/4 turn should do.

Awesome, thanks guys. There should be a sticky with all this info. Like Spark plug part number, torque, what oil and how many quarts, oil filter part #, fuel filter part #, and all that good stuff. I'm surprised there isn't already one on here.

 

You want to ONLY snug the plugs and make sure you install antiseze on both the plug thread and the head thread this is VERY IMPORTANT

"snug" is about 23ft/lbs of torque.... it doesnt take much TQ at all.

 

I would have to say, in this case that is too tight. Shit I think the header bolt specs are around 23 ft-lbs.

The gap is .05 right?

 

LOL, SVT says that it is 11lbs of torque.....I called the 1-800 number

 

When i installed mine, or do anything else on my car, I use German Specs Goot-n-tite, oh and antisieze is a must, unless you really love those spark plugs and plan on keeping them forever, and as for gap...i ran .06 on the stock wires with plats, and im running .065 on FRPP wires with copper cores...maybe thats just me though....

 

so at what gap number should the spark plug be gapped at.... .60 is what mine are at or is that wrong???
