Well there's one thing that you shouldn't do and that's post in all caps, but to answer your question, I don't really know. Nobody can really help you with your opinions so just do whatever you want, if you like mustangs then get one, but if you don't keep modding, simple as that.

Think of it this way: if you don't care about gas, buy the Mach 1, and you do care about gas keep the foci.
I would keep the foci and continue to mod it and use it for a daily driven car. Save some money on the side and put a down payment on the Mach 1.

Ugly rims? I like the retro look of 'em. Overrated? How so? Basically it's the poormans Cobra with a hard to read speedometer and shaker hood, minus the supercharger. At least it gives F-bodies a run for their money...

thats it all it is an apprance package witch total makes a machery out of the orginal mach 1.

All these reto renames make me sick. The 05 mustang is the best redo i have ever seen and its the only one i like. but the new mach 1's, Gto's and all those other throw back cars look like ass. The manufater's are just slaped a name onto onto a grand-am.

That's not true at all. The Mach1 has an upgraded powertrain that puts out over 300 hp. It is essentially a 4.6L 4V that was the basis for the 4.6L 3V engine in the 2005 Mustang GTs. I say go for it. The driving dynamics won;'t be as nice as a 2005 GT, but the more than 300 hp will be. It will be a collector's items someday for the limitted run and functional hood scoop.

A year ago today I went down to the Ford dealer and traded in my 01' Focus for a 2003 Mach 1. I had the Mustang for 3 weeks. I tracked it, auto-x, and striped it within that time. In less than 2,000 miles I threw a rod in the motor, went through a set of tires and warped the rotors. If you drive anything how I did I would say keep the Focus. It is more durable. Cause of who I know down at the dealer I was able to "return" the car to avoid a lemon law case. I got back my Focus and I am thrilled that I still have the Focus. It handles and brakes way better. Down a little on power but the power isn't all that impressive anyway on the Mach 1 to me anyway... I would say keep the Focus and beat the crap of a $6K car instead of a $25K car. Plus you will probably have just as much fun in the Focus. Maybe not as much as putting down rubber through first and second but you know. Oh, and the Focus is not exactly what I would call a status car but is it worth $19K more dollars to have a Mustang?!?
