its pretty simple, your bar should have come with instructions if you bought it new. If not, find some washers that are the same size as the end of the bar. Take out the carpeting on both sides, find the spot that's triple layered with sheetmetal. there is only one spot its pretty easy to find. Stick the washer up there and center it up in the triple layer part and mark the center of it with a marker. that's where you drill. find the bolt that goes into the bar, and get a drill bit slightly larger, just enough so the bolt fits thru the hole you drill. drill the holes on both sides. At this point it makes a big difference in getting it in with the carpet if you'll jack up the back end, so you have room over the tires to work. put the carpet back in and have somebody hold it snug against the wall. Poke something sharp thru the carpet from the wheelwell thru the hole you just drilled. Use your washer again and cut out a circle around the hole in the carpet the size of the end of the bar or slightly smaller. The reason for this step is, the bar is just long enough to fit between the two walls, but does not leave room for two 1/8" thicknesses of carpet. you can force it in, but you'll tear the carpet and its not an easy task. Not to mention you can push the tops of your rear tires out an 1/8th which throws off alignment. so cut holes in the carpet and piece it all together. an extra hand makes a couple of the steps easier but I did mine alone in about 20 mins. great mod, you'll love it. good luck
