Problems After Installlll

ok... i have a 2001 Sedan Auto with 73,000 miles. before my install i have Diablo chip, CAI, header, cat-back exhaust, spark plug wires. Soon after i install an af/x UPD, 2 1/4 bosal flex, H&R sway bar(all NEW parts) all in the same day... my car been acting up. I been experiencing strong vibration noise in the front on and off, squeking from the pulley... it gets worst in traffic, when i'm tryin to keep a steady speed or make turns. otherwise, it runs GREAT!

The overall install for the parts went pretty well, except for the UDP. Apprently for the AF/x it doesnt have the holes on pulley like AEM to attach the pulley tq. wrench to keep it from spinning. So, we use an impact and set the tq to approx 85lbs. So... im not sure if thats the problem?? or im experience something else instead.

FYI: i did grind a section of that plastic piece around pulley so the belt dont rub. perhaps another plastic piece that i might have to take out?? car need timing? Flex piple needs to break in? I dunno.... any advise?

I have a feeling whiteboyslo is right. If you haven't heard a noise since and then after installing all that other stuff and you know it isn't the pulley then I would check your flex. I doubt if the sway bar would be making that noise.

how can my flex pipe possibly be making those noise???

ok.... so after more driving with this annoying vibration problem...

i figured, it runs completly fine(Perfect) within the first 5 mins of driving and under 40mph.

and as soon as engine started to heat up or above 50mph or rev'n the RPM higher than 3500

it started to shake and vibrate like CRazzyyyyyyy. Oh yeah... also, during a slow turn it vibrates.

during hwy driving.... it seems like my car is having problem moving the RPM, its struggling to get above 3000 RPM w/o floor'n it (with that in mind, i have an automatic)

Now i dont see how this can be a flex pipe problem... because if there's leak, should there be vibration or load noise thr out entire RPM.

My only guessss are:
1) My pulley wasnt tq correctly?
2) tenision on the belt???? too tight? too loose????
3) My belt was rubbin against something???? (i did shave the crank cover for clearence)
4) YOU TELL ME????? im so confused

please help... i need Input!!!

I just took my car into the dealer to get that same problem fixed....I thought it was my belt or pulley squeeking but with ac on or off, accellerate/decellerate...no difference. Drove me nuts...the sound was very hard to isolate.

Turns out it was one of my heatsheilds that was working loose...what you are most likely hearing is that. I am willing to bet that it may have come loose while messing with the exhaust mods.

The ones on the cat are usually the first ones to come loose...but this time it was the one further up the exhaust...near the oil pan.
