Oversized Front Caliper Slide Pins???

Just wondering if anyone has a link or knows of a company that supplies oversized front caliper slide pins for 00-04 Foci’s?

The threads on one of the passenger side break/steering knuckle caliper mounts has stripped and now the slide pin slides in and out of the hole with little resistance. I know I could Helicoil it, but if an oversized slide pin exists I would rather go that route.

Thanks guy.

As a follow up for people with the same problem, I took the car to a shop and they ended up filling the hole with weld then drilling and re-tapping it. This action was done before I was informed about it, but for the day they I have gotten it back it seems to be alright.

Hopefully I will get a little better response to this question then my previous one but, has anyone had a similar type of repair done on their car and if so did it last? I am concerned about how well this type of repair will hold up for the reason that the steering knuckle is a cast part and that in the process of welding it could have hurt the integrity of the cast part.

^^ Did they weld it, or use epoxy? Cast is very hard to weld and not overheat ( it can be done, but you need to have skill)... I don't remember if that part was cast or not...

If the weld was done right, it is a totally reliable way to make a repair. IF the weld is good. Its also VERY hard to drill and tap weld, I have done it, but its not easy for the average guy.

I am running into the same issue here with the stripped threads in the spindle and would like to use a helicoil kit. I have tried searching but can not come up with the correct information... Does anyone know the correct size helicoil kit to get? The guy at the autoparts store thinks the caliper bolt is a 9mm but is not fully sure (used digital calipers, couldnt get anything to match on his gauges). Thanks.
