i am simply saying it did show results and yes it may not be as great for the 2.3 but it is a result and i just talked to him and he is going to check on another forum for a mazda 6 with the 2.3l. these are better than stock and better than NGK so take it as you wish....more updates to come on this.
that's a horrible selling point. Are these even proven to be reliable? They give next to no power, and are an unnecessary cost. Why have a performance part that delivers less horsepower than an oil change and still claim for it to be better?

Even if it is better, do you expect people to go out and buy things just because they're marginally better? Hell there's always going to be something better, it just comes down to is it worth it.

Then why even post it...then come on saying "well this and this" when someone says something.

magic words again...tune. anything will gain hp/tq with a tune. throw them in a completely stock car as it is, no tune and show an actual difference.
No one is going to spend 50 bucks on plugs and then several hundred for a tune just to get a few ponies, you can do that with 8$ a set 103's and a tune...
 
The dyno's should be coming in about a week or two. For now lets hold off on the assumptions. Also to add, Mark from WeaponX has been very forthcoming with the information to ensure that this test is done fairly.

Anyways, until you all get your own dyno results I am gonna take a back seat on this since all the info I'm posting is being tossed to the side. If you don't want to spend the extra $$$ for a quality product then don't. lol It's as simple as that. Yes the power increase on MY car was minimal, but that was over NGK Iridiums. Had I done that over my stock plugs, well, it would be a greater difference.

While these are more expensive than the NGK's, they are suppossed to last a lot longer. How much longer, I'll let Mark throw out those numbers. Until then, I will just keep them going until I misfire, or notice some bogging. Take all of this info as you wish.

The only sure thing I can say, that hopefully some will listen to, is that I did notice improvements in engine responsiveness on cold starts, more consistent idle, smoother RPM climbing and falling, and a nice kick in the pants of a MGP increase. None of this can be proved on a dyno, so you can decide on whether what I am saying is worth the $$$ or not.

Subscribed, and eager to see dyno results.

a set of 103s is a huge step backward in my opinion. they are outdated, and MUCH less conductive, with their nickel electrodes. any engineer will tell you that it is even more so about the ability to focus a spark. this is done much better with a fine electrode than those old fat ones.

i hope you guys do not think that the electrode itself is copper. cuz its not. the core is copper. for almost all plugs this is the case....be it these weaponx, brisks, ngk, autolite, denso, bosch, whatever. i keep seeing people say 'just run some coppers.' THEY ARE ALL COPPER PLUGS..AT THE CORE.

the difference is the electrode, not the core, when it comes to 'coppers.' i also hope there is noone here who would still think that a fine wire is a 'gimmick.' b/c everyone is moving to this technology. even autolite has stopped their old racing line of nickel electrodes (the ever popular ar103 on here) and moved to fine wires.

just wanted to clarify to people that even these plugs are 'coppers.'

I'm still gonna be skeptical of these until I see a dyno sheet. This comes across as one of those products like the tornado thing you put in your intake to improve gas mileage [rolleyes]

If these show enough of a true and non-flawed improvement then I'll eat my words but until then I'll be a skeptic.

If these don't show improvement then Nemesis you may want to get your Butt Dyno calibrated... I'm sure someone on here knows a good proctologist.

just so you guys know, i am not running the extremes right now. waiting on the emi box.

when i had the extremes in, there was a difference at least in response.

and no, you were responding directly to the talk of testing, and we know it. the testing was of the emi box, which i do not yet have.

i think this will all be moot if the box does not work, as the dtec focus will not be able to run the extremes (non-resistors)without some nutty electronic problems.

Never say never! There is no reason that I can think of that would prevent the conversion of the 2 post COP to a 3 post COP if there was enough interest.
 
Ok , have plugs in hand , looking for a car to do the testing with , he needs to bring 1 new OEM set of plugs and a set of autolite 103 plugs with him , dyno is free

Looking for a Focus Duratec with only a few engine mods

so noone is actually doing this, after all the talk? well, that sucks.

fyi--the emi box works. you can run the non-resistors without issue. none for me so far for three days.

everyone that lives near tom in NC that subscribed to this thread that are intreasted in this are !@3$^&*@#1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How bout this, you'll pitch in gas and a oil changs for me to drive up there and i'll go.
