1 does anyone know where I can pick up some torque dampeners. Installed spec stg3 clutch and now I get a lot of wheel hop.

2. Svt has been guzzling gas eversince I put in taylor wires and motorcraft copper plugs (gapped properly). Any suggestions?

3. I have the borla cat back. I am becoming annoyed with how loud it is so can someone suggest a way for me to quiet and deepen the exahust note without getting a whole new exahust?

Thanks for the help as always!

Are you running boost? if not i don't think copper plugs are for you, go back to the platinums.

As for the exhaust, go to an exhaust shop and have them weld in a resignator it will help with the loudness part

coppers work fine in NA motors.

Define "torque dampeners"....you can get poly motor mounts, control arm bushings, traction bars, etc.

As John said, coppers work for any application. Can you do a datalog?

If your exhaust is loud to you...you probably have an ORP, yes? 'Cause if you're complaining about Borla exhaust with stock cat, then...moddin cars ain't for you. It would be sad to hack up your Borla, but yes, a large RESONATOR (correct spelling...) will tone things down.

you can get an ingalls stiffy, and mod it like john did (03orangesvt)
and a rear dog bone mount.

throw a glass pack or some kind of resinator in the middle. that should help.
Wouldn't a glass pack make it louder? I really don't know.

I did all the research before I switched to the coppers, but ever since doing so my gas mileage has been way off.

Here is a torque damper- http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/ingalls_engineering_stiffy.htm
I have never heard of one but my friend says it will eliminate the wheel hop I get while going into 1st.

Tom asked me the same question. I do not know how to datalog but would love to learn...can you help me with this. I have the DiabloSport with Tom's tune.

Sorry bud no ORP for me...trust me I have been under there many times. I enjoy modding my SVT, but there are just a few things I don't understand. I am quite sure there were a few things you had to learn as well guy! Don't get me wrong I enjoy the sound at WOT but I am quite sure my neighbors get annoyed with me starting it up at 5am. I am just getting tired of how loud the tone is and would like it to be a bit deeper and more throaty.

No boost, but will have soon.

I forget who (scrammer was it you) welded in an SRT4 axle back and they said it made the tone a bit deeper. I can see how that would make a small difference with the extra piping.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Any help with datalogging would be awesome..that way I can see why it's burning gas.

Glasspack would definitely not make the car louder. It would tone things down a fair amount, especially rasp.

Copper plugs will not affect gas mileage. Something else is wrong. Plenty of people getting over 30mpg running coppers.

If your neighbors get pissed at you for starting up a car with just cat back exhaust, they're dumb. A guy down the street has a modded street bike and he goes tearing down the street at red line in 2nd gear (over 60 mph) at 1 in the morning. Haven't seen the cops called yet.

Do you have a Diablo Predator or Xcal3? If you do, then you just need a laptop and a USB cable.

wasnt me...

i have the SAP diffuser. i really should do the dual exhaust. but i just dont feel like hacking up my borla tailpipe and getting new tips.

top of that, with the 2.5" ORP, 2.5" flex and the SVT Borla, i now have a bit of rasp. id like more piping to quiet it down just a tad.
