Are you saying i wont need to swap out the front studs with the 10mm?
I'm saying that I didn't swap mine when I had the 10/15 setup, but that I always ensured my wheels were torqued to specifications (not just 'gutentight').

The technically-correct answer is that anything thicker than 8mm should have longer studs installed. If you don't have the funds/time to swap lugs you should at least invest in a torque wrench.

no i was planing on swapping them(got a torque wrench) but if i dont have to on the front then it saves me some time. Would 10/15 be the max i can get with a 45 offset or can i do more?
Pm me your wheel/tire info (all of the sizing) and I can look it up when I get home or you can use my wheel/tire package as reference though you might want to subtract a couple mm to eliminate rubbing)-

hey all! still no problems here after installing H&R 20/25mm spacers on Sportline springs and 215/50/R17 tire. props to dyn085 again for helping me out with the fitment. This guy know his stuff lol.

I'm wondering if when I buy new tires, if I can upgrade to 235/40/R17 without messing up the fitment...
This is the exact information I was looking for. I have a 2014 SE with 235/40/17s. I want to put on the H&R DRM 20mm spacers (part number 4035633). All my research led me to believe this would work... your post confirms it.

Do you happen to have any pics? I am at stock height, but I would love to see your current fitment. TIA.

Just for a visual reference, here is what the 17x7's look like with 25m spacers all around and the OEM Continental tires.

This is with Sportline springs, and there was only minor rubbing when driving like a human being over good to moderate roads.

Dyn085, I believe the 17x7 owners will have no issues with running a 20mm adapter kit. there are very large pockets between the lug holes.

TL/DR quick specs:

2013 SE Sport package
17x7 "Blackpack" wheels
OEM Tires
Sportline Springs
25mm H&R spacer kit

You are correct, so long as the wheels are OEM or have the same offset as OEM. Most, like Mishka, are running 20/25 f/r setups. You probably have roughly the same rubbing as I do, mine is just worse due to being lower.

I more meant the extra 5mm of factory lug sticking through the spacer will have a place to go without modification, not just the lack of or only moderate tire scrubbing.

After reading through this and asking a few on here, I am safe to get 20mm spacers on my car then?

I have OEM factory 17 inch wheels and I checked the back of the rim and there are pockets or whatever would be the proper term behind them to accommodate spacer lugs or whichever.

I'm just curious is if I will have any issues with rubbing since it isn't lowered and I was told the lowest I could do was 20mm to not have to do any cutting or tinkering and they would just slide on my existing lugs, then slide the wheel on the spacer lugs, tighten them and I'd be good to go.

That goes to show how new I am to all of this.

so i upgraded my wheels to volvo xc90 17x7.5 et 48 with 225/45/r17, would a 20 mm spacer be to big?

Yep you can do 20mm spacers no problem. Since your not lowered you will be A-OK, even being pretty low I never scrape on my 20mm fronts, only my 25mm rears.

So if I'm understanding correctly, I will be ok with 20mm DRM f+r on the stock 215/50 R17?

I'm running after market wheels with ET36 and the width is 6.5. I have Sportlines and I was wondering how wide I could go with spacers without rubbing too much? I'm running 215 tires currently. Maybe 225 in the future.

How wide can I go?
