Hey! I am just very curious If I can swap my engine with the coyote into my 13 focus sedan. I want to know If its possible without much trouble, what things I need to convert the car into this new engine, where can I buy most of the stuff I need for the swap and the most important thing… is it worth it???
If someone could make me a list of all everything I need and where I could get them would be very cool! Also I want to install a new exhaust, will it have to be one that fits a mustang gt or one that fits a focus?
That’s all I’ve got, thanks.

These did not come stock with V8. People cram V8's into just about anything....... it all depends on how much money you have. $15,000 to $20,000 for fabrication and installation ... and maybe half of the needed parts.

Hell ....... start a Utube channel and take us down this rabbit hole. If you need inspiration check out this guy.

Or just get a Turbo kit for a 90% direct bolt on ... for around $4,000 to $6,000.

But the real question is why not just buy a Mustang Gt already with a 5.0L coyote

So basically people modify the engine itself so that it fits? Because I have seen a lot of people installing a coyote into their ford focus. If its possible I’ll still do it. I just need to know all the things I need for the swap.

"Without too much trouble"
That's the funny part.
So my experience is that even swapping a later model engine of the same family (in my case, a 03 Explorer 4.6 v8 into a 97 Thunderbird with a 1997 4.6 V8) there were a lot of changes that had to be made. I did add headers, cams, etc, but getting the engine in is really the easiest part. In the case of the focus, you'd need to fab up a RWD transmission, motor mounts to mount the engine, hood clearance, trans mounts, drive shaft, rear diff/axles (relatively easy to use parts from a Focus RS in that case), and then a computer to tie it all together. At that point, may as well convert the front end to a Frunk and put the engine in midship in place of the back seat. Make a modern day SHOgun. (
)

Can it be done? Of course. But unless you have the desire/knowledge to fabricate literally everything, you're better off doing a more common or more supported swap (5.0 into a MkII maybe).
