Okay, getting ready to do the infamous bs delete today via Cosworth's new kit. I know the OE oil level is 4.5 quarts, according to MM site its 5 quarts after the bs deletion, then I remember reading somewhere, (either here or on FJ), its supposed to be 5.5 quarts after the deletion. Can any one shed some light on this...? Thanks...

Assuming that the removed parts are completely under oil in their location inside of the engine, place the parts in a container and add a light oil (or water if you're not likely to reuse the parts) until they are covered and mark the level on the container. Remove the parts allowing as much of the oil to drip back into the container as is feasible. Mark the new level. Using a measuring container add oil back up to the first mark and add that difference volume to your original 4 1/2 qt oil refill.

Another thought. Why not just refill to the normal "full" mark on the dipstick?

This is a rediculous thread. Just go by the dipstick, that's what it's for.
