Dropped the tranny...they replaced my clutch about 1.5k miles ago..and the driverside just dropped out..and they had to take it off for them to replace clutch..and anyways...it just dropped...like the nut unscrewed off of the bolt that holds the driverside up...no way in hell im payin for that...it looks like a careless mistake...i have a 12 month warranty on the clutch...and they must have done something wrong for it to **** up like that.....tore thru the cv shafts boot...and dropped the motor and tranny almost to the ground....anyone every experiance this before? im not amused at all...

well..the dealership is right down the street from SPEC Clutches..and im seriously gonna bitch about this...so...im gonna bitch and complain about gettin it done for free, along with new clutch and flywheel...b/c of this.....i mean, seriously, they ****** up...and im gonna tell them, ill keep my mouth shut if you fix it for free and replace the clutch, or i will contact a high represenative, b/c this isnt a joke to me....its serious...we are decent patrons for this dealership...we have purchased at least 4-5 cars from them, and we have a relationship built...and a careless mistake can ruin that....im not happy...so, if its done for free, thats great, but if not, my mom will probably drop the contract on the new 500 she just bought...

i got screwed over with the clutch and flywheel..i was barely outside that warranty, and there was a TSB issued, and i called svt, and they said the dealership should pay, and i asked calmly and they were like, nope...it was 1300...its not my fault that they made a replacement part that didnt re use the old flywheel..b/c i had to pay for that..and they had to replace clutch disc, flywheel and pressure plate....they didnt even help pay for it....so...im mad anyways w/ them...

Yeah, i'd be all about making them fix that for free. If THEY messed it up THEY should fix it at THEIR expense. However, as was mentioned before, try to be calm and nice about it...mention how many car you've purchased through them and explain how you've NEVER been dissapointed until now and explain to them what YOU think they could do to make you happy again. If they fight you, then just calmly ask to speak to their boss...eventually you'll get high enough that someone will break and give it to ya

I think i'd flip out regardless!
No anger management class would even come close to calming me down.
Something of this magnitude can leave permanent damage to other parts and components that right now your not able to see.
Thats insane!

But i think you handled it better then i ever could of.
Or maybe you didn't fully grasp the seriousness of the situation yet.
Either way BUUS-FRA-BAAAH to you for keeping it chilled. [^]

Anyway, before you get all foamed up over this, see what they DO say. Usually if something is as glaring a goof-up as this seems to be, they'll be a little embarrased that it happened, and even the crappiest shop will realize the jig's up and it's time to do the right thing.

As long as the bell-housing bolts are still tight, I don't see where you have any grounds to demand a new clutch, though. That should not have been affected by this little mishap.

wait...your axle came out completely?...if that happened. it was never set when actually being installed...but how many miles ago was this? boots break...seen it on cars with 25,000 miles... but even with the boot breaking, it should not drop. i've done plenty of transmissions and even i have forgot about the cv. but then again, i go on a 15-20 mile test drive and inspect all components...
