The real digital speed for the HUD comes from the BCM (over OBD2 to HUD). I have a Focus 2012 Titanium. In this car is an extra/seperate GPS module. This module gives the BCM the real (GPS) speed. So digital speed display is the same as in test mode.

The speedometer in Europe/Germany always has to show a little more.

 

I just downloaded HUDWAY to my iPhone. I will try it one night and see if it's worth the money.

I have HUDWAY downloaded and test it next few days.

 

HUDWAY is nice, but having it on my iPhone it seems too small. I think it would look better from an iPad or a bigger display. Also the voice and directions seemed a little messed up. Like instead of turn left or turn right, it says 90 degree right. It seems odd.

I have another question. As you have replaced the centre screen with an aftermarket head unit, are you now missing the graphic display for the parking sensors? I assume you still get the audible warning through the speakers but no picture of how close the car is to objects when parking?
