As some other members here have experienced, some of us have a squeak/rattle that is near the steering wheel. It is actually coming from the trim piece around the speedo.

I want to put a tiny disclaimer...If you break your trim, not my fault, although this shouldn't be a problem because this is fairly gentle. Also, there are no pictures because the fix is "invisible" so there is no point posting pictures.

While trying to find exactly where the squeak was coming from I noticed you could slightly move the trim piece around the speedo if you grabbed the end that sticks out. It moves about 1/8" if you push it back and forth. All I did to fix the squeak was this...

I took a small piece of black felt (about 2" long and 1/4-1/8" wide) and wedged it under the trim piece. I pulled the trim piece down a little and then used a small screw driver to push it into place. When you get it all the way you will NOT be able to see the felt. It stopped my squeak completely.

If anyone really has a problem figuring out what I did, please respond here and I will post a short video of what I did. [headbang]
