well i would imagine its in the same place as on the hatches, if so, just unplug the connector from the back of the button....

 

^^^correct^^^^ just unplug the button. What are you hiding, a body, lol J/K.

 

If your electrical saavy you could cut the supply wire and put a relay in between the switch and its power source, then find a 12v source that is only on when the key is and wire that to the trigger. This way the button only works when the key is in the ignition.

 

thats to complicate, take of the peice around your gauge and pull out the lil wire, and put it back together and your set [thumb]

 

on my car i have a magnent reed switch in line and bi-passed the button. so to open the trunk you need a magnent (which i keep stuck in the car) no theif would figure it out in a pinch and it keeps functionality the stock button is left in place with no wires behind it (so that in a pinch a theif couldnt figure it out)

there is no button fuse.

 

I'll trade you, mine is broke[] I think that there is just a plug thing behind it if i remember correctly, just take the big part of the guage cluster off and unplug it.

 

Then they will just cut thru your back seats to get your speakers.......

the smart person, makes thing easier to take to minimze collateral damage....ie.....dash trim and body panels.

 

actually i had my old 2003 broke into they choped the shit out of the back seats and used a crobar on the trunk they also riped out the back "shelf" under the rear window they were able to bust loose my amp put they couldnt get the seats undone. everything that was not in my trunk was stolen ...however my amps xbox and all the other shit in my trunk was all in tact. the poor car had gotten its ass kicked however.

not saying its not possible but saying that the factory seats are good to stop the dumb criminal - which is what the biggest fear of theft is from.

 

Seats are more expensive to replace than an amp and some subs.
