Cool feature that is not properly documented anywhere. Odds are if it was, people still wouldn't read it.

Downloaded the app to wife's Droid. Will check it out in a few days. We are not that tech savvy so hopefully it is pretty easy to do.

Hi everyone -

The Google Send to SYNC feature has been discontinued. However, it's still available from MapQuest and the SYNC Destinations mobile app. Destinations is complimentary with your activated SYNC Services subscription and works with Android, iPhone, and BlackBerry!

There's a mapquest app for the Iphone. Can you use that to send to Sync?
The Mapquest app doesn't allow for this, Dysan911, but visiting Mapquest.com from your phone will. In my opinion, the SYNC Destinations app is the way to go!

I actually think that's a great design feature. While it's true that you may want a passenger to use the app while you drive, there would probably be a multitude of fools who would try to use the thing while driving. I'm glad Ford had the foresight to prevent that kind of thing and spared us all at least a few less distracted drivers.
I'm with you there, Bimmer-Bob! This application functions the same way our in-dash navigation systems do, you must be moving less than 5 MPH to enter a destination. As long as you input the info before you take off, you're good to go!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Loosing google maps is horrible. I was undeniably the best. The Ford app is a pain to use (logging in and not remembering my account info just makes me avoid it altogether). Using MapQuest is like stepping back in time 20 years to the dawn of the internet.

I haven't been able to get mapquest to work with Sync for days. It just says the sync service is unavailable. I wonder if we are losing that too.

Anyways, Google Map integration was a huge reason for me getting the MFT NAV. It was pitched to me by my salesperson. I researched, used it often, and with no warning it's gone. I have all my destination for worked, plugged into custom google maps for this very reason. [thumbd][:(!]
