looking from the front of the car number 1 is on the left and number 4 is on the right

 

just to clarify, #1 would be on the passenger side then, correct?

 

front of the engine is where the pullies are. back of the engine is where the transmission is bolted to. so from front to back it going 1,2,3,4. hope that help.
