go look at ur rear breaks. if they are drums, then no. if they are disk, then yes.

 

That's got to be the worst piece of advice I have seen in years. I have drums in the rear and I do have ABS brakes.

If your look at the back of your rear brake plate, you might see a wire going into it, if you have that then you should have ABS, otherwise the wires would just be tied up in the chassis like elsolo described.

 

Crap, then thats a no.

 

To answer this question on any car: there is also usually a noticeable "ABS unit" under the hood, where a bunch of brake lines Tee off from after the master cylinder. There will also be wires/connectors/sensors going to the wheel hubs. My Focus has the wires and connectors on the chassis at the rear, but they aren't plugged into anything since the car doesn't have ABS.

 

My mom's '07 Focus also has ABS too.

my truck has drum rear and disc front. And RWAL. figure that one out.

Ehh..i dont claim to know everything. Lol. I thought that foci with rear discs had the abs option and if it had drums, it didnt. I dont have abs so and never had it. And just because im a moderator of a certain forum, doesnt mean im a know it all in that certain area. Im a mod in the mk3 section but know crap about em. Lol

 

And also..this is the good thing about forums...if someone gives wrong info (my [][][][][][][]), someone else will chime in and give the correct info, and hopefully not be a jerk to the guy who gave wrong info. Now ive learned as well. Thank you!

 

well,your info is correct in my case. my 2005 has drums and no abs. lol

 

Go figure, i have drum brakes and an ABS light on the dash. Who woulda thunk. Thanks for the help.
