i have been looking at the new fiesta recently but i cannot get any solid info are there any parts from the 2.0 that will fit into the duratec 1.6 ti-vct?

im mostly looking at the head, intake manifold, throttle body, and cams

any help would be great

and the other idea would be how much of a pain would it be to install the 2.0 or even a d25 into the fiesta?

maybe even an svt engine?

I seriously doubt any of those parts would or could even be swapped over. They motor are from two different motor families. Now if they were in the same engine family then some parts like intake manifold and tb could swap over. Now if you do a complete motor swap then that would be new territory for every one, as I don't think it's ever been done to a new Fiesta yet.

No one has done anything engine wise with the 2.0l because tuning just became available. It appears that the fiesta and the focus use different manual transmissions but I'm not sure. Not many people have had a 2.0l out of the focus yet (myself and one other on this site I know of). My dealer is swapping engine under warranty.

alright, i was thinking maybe getting the 2.0 zetec crate and putting that in, does anyone know if the engine and auto trans use the same computer on the fiesta or could i install the engine with an adapter plate and a stand alone ecu?

long run im thinking of a 2.0 with a JR supercharger in the fiesta could turn out to be a quick car, unless i can get the supercharger onto the 1.6 some how

With stand alone engine management and fab work then any engine trans combo could work. What ever you do it's going to cost a lot of money in the end. Why not just wait for the ST to come out then turn up the boost?

Waiting for the ST sounds good but I'll be getting a car in June and I hate turbos with a passion

Which is why I was looking into the 2.0 duratec or the svt zetec both would work great. I just need to get more speed out of it. I'll be going from driving my dads 2.5l rabbit to the 1.6 its a bit of a sacrifice but I do see potential in the fiesta its almost 1k lbs lighter then the new focus but if I get about 150-170hp I'm sure it would be pretty nimble and have great acceleration
