Clutch Replacement

I’m getting ready to begin the process of dropping the transmission and replacing the clutch in my 2003 Ford Focus zx3. I was able to buy a complete clutch kit with the slave cylinder, pressure plate, disc, and align tool. Since I don’t plan on removing the transmission until the end of my cars lifespan I would like to replace the most necessary things that I can while I’m under. I’m curious to know if I need anything like a new clutch fork or throw-out bearing or are these things something I will have to wait and see the wear on.

Good time to replace the axles. If the seals look good just wipe a little wheel bearing grease on them and install the axles. Replace if bad. I also prefer to remove the front subframe as it makes transaxle removal and installation easier and it allows you to replace the steering rack and sway bar mount bushings which are the most overlooked and neglected bushings on the car other than trailing arm bushings imho. Good time to replace your battery cables as well.
