I recently had a headlight go out. Bulbs, fuses, connections and all else are fine. My mechanic and I tracked it down the to BCM in the passenger footwell. It is not putting out enough to power the light. 6.9. Once some power is put to it, it lights right up.

Are they plug and play? I looked on ebay and found a few for $35-150 and I can't find any online new ones. I am afraid to go to the dealer and see what a new one costs. If I can buy and install a used one then have the dealer program it?

At 50k miles and this is already happening, I am discouraged to keep the car.

I had to have my headlight bcm replaced and they had to program in to the car. Sounds like you need a dealership.
Hello Slicknick,

My name is Tricia, and I’m one of the U.S. Ford Customer Service Representatives that will be on this forum from time to time. I agree with ChalupaJones, and also recommend taking your vehicle to a Ford Dealer to get diagnosed. Please make an appointment here, and let me know when it’s scheduled. Don't forget to PM me your full name, VIN, dealer, and best daytime phone number. I’ll loop in a customer service manager for your region to assist at that time! [:)]
