I had to have my headlight bcm replaced and they had to program in to the car. Sounds like you need a dealership.

 

How much was the cost?

 

Free fiddy cause I was under warranty. I have a bad feeling that it might cost you an arm and potentially a leg though. Were you using HIDs?

 

I was but the ballast went bad so I took them out. I was wondering why I always got the dipped beam even though I had the resistors and relay. SOB!

 

Same thing happened to me but I had a ground go bad and it fried my bcm.

 

I'll try to out the harness back in. If that works with a new ballast then screw it.

This car is terrible for headlight mods. Do fogs need relays and all that?

I currently have them swapped with regular crap bulbs.

Not sure on the fogs. I have an aftermarket set because my fogs didn't come oem.

Trying it with a new ballast is a good idea but if your bcm is the problem it may not work.

 

At 50k miles and this is already happening, I am discouraged to keep the car.

So you do a mod that most likely fries your BCM and it's the car's fault? [cheers]

 

Adding hids should not fry anything. It is my fault but it's ridiculous. Now my expensive retro is worthless.

 

I recently had a headlight go out. Bulbs, fuses, connections and all else are fine. My mechanic and I tracked it down the to BCM in the passenger footwell...

I just went down there and ordered it. $330. I am sure it will cost some to install and program it, that will suck too. Oh, and it's going to take 2-4 weeks.
