actually i listen to stuff like chimaria, sworn enemy, heaven shall burn, etc and i love my sealed box over a vented box. vented box is for rap period. i love my metal music so i stick with sealed to get that "kicked in the chest" feeling

Vented boxes sucks imo. For anything other than digital bass, they are flat out useless.

Sealed, is the way to go if you listen to more than a handful of bass tracks using the same frequency. You just dont get the clear range out of a ported box that you do a sealed box.

Agreed on the kicked in the chest feeling.

ive got a legacy la1870 900wx2ch amp and 2 pioneer 10's in truck boxes. i havent installed them yet, im still playing with placement but they seem like there got fit pretty well and not take up a lot of trunk space.

Each box has it's pros and cons...a vented box, if made right, can be just as loud if not louder then a sealed. But that is also true for a sealed box. It all depends on the sub and how much watts and the cubic volume. In my opinion bandpass boxes sound like crap unless a TON of time and money is put into building one.
