I bought the Steeda used, so can't say whether or not they come pre-oiled. It gets cleaned every 8K-10K with the K&N cleaning kit.

 

i dont believe it'll come pre-oiled, my cosworth has a K&N style filter also, and didnt come pre-oiled.

but its a safe bet, to purchase the recharge kit from a local parts store.

I'm pretty sure that my filter came pre-oiled when I ordered it.

 

The Steeda filter does come preoiled. However it does not use a K&N filter. Steeda used a S&B Performance filter from sbfilters.net in the unit I bought. They recommend buying the cleaning and oiling kit from Steeda or you can get it from direct from S&B.

 

I found it helpful to clean the maf sensor a few days after oiling. Just in case too much oil finds its self on the filter.

 

Mine came oiled. The filter was blue so the K&N oil has a red dye.

just got mine a week ago but have not put it on. However the filter is oiled you are fine!

 

Slap that beast on there! I know I was giddy the day that I got mine. I was finished installing it about 1 1/2 hours after the guy delivered [thumb]

Yeah it doesn't matter what oil you use. But just for your own info S&B filters makes the filter for Steeda. Their website is sbfilters.com
