Hi, shiny new guy here. My 2015 Focus SE is blowing mist from vents when running AC, and also dripping onto passenger side floor in front.
Diagnosed at Ford dealer; they verified concern and "found condensation from evaporator leaking onto passenger side floor due to box drain
being plugged and building up in HVAC case, need to remove dash and case assembly and clear drain to correct concern".
They will do this for $1,500.
My question is: does the dash have to be removed for this draining, and remove case assembly?
Thank you,
sng

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often as in home AC units its a constant issue. I tried to find the location but couldn't but I found this:

On the older Foci the drain is easy to find as it comes out near the middle of the firewall. The tube sticks out about an inch.

On the newer Foci it is harder to locate under the car because of the exhaust heat shield. But it is there...you just have to look where that tube goes. Here is another similar link that might help...
