about clusters..

I have one the tachless wonders that ford put in a manuel car and was looking to get one, anyone know how hard it is to change the miles on them to match my car? So everyhting is legit?

I actually think it is possible to have it programmed to your miles, but that's at a Stealership.. i believe they charge a ton of cash to do it.. your best bet is to find a cluster w/tach that has around the same miles, i found one on ebay, it was a 100 mile difference :) lucky me!

well, thats true too. Its an arm and a leg to get your cluster re-programmed.

well if I was at home I'd send you the link, but there are some shops that actually do that. you have to provide quite a bit of documentation to prove neither you or them is illegally tampering with it (I.E rolling back the mileage).

its out there and iirc one place charged about $100 I think to do it.

going on a junkyard run is both adventurous and rewarding. hell you may even find other parts you want/need.

make sure to ask if they know what the mileage is though. I got VERY lucky when I pulled one from a ZTS. of course I couldn't check so I just took the chance. luckily it had 118k on it, while mine had 114k.
