You should get a manual or subscribe to Alldata where it will show you step by step. You will need to remove your drive axles, starter, etc. best to have a manual to show you all the small to large pieces that need to be looked at.

If I were going to go to the trouble of dropping the trans, I'd replace the forks and clutch while I had it out.
