Just change the Syncros in it , getting a used one might also grind

Well the grinding is not the main issue. Even when in gear, the shift knob visibly shakes inches. Sometimes it grinds in neutral.

 

UPDATE: Before we bought the car, a shop replaced the clutch. They did not refill gear oil. I pulled the transmission out and it is in a different shop for a full rebuild. Idiot mechanics...
