That's definitely what it looks like from looking at the catalog and dealers online. The 00-04 kit includes new knuckles, but the 05+ kit is just the rotors, calipers, lines, and bolts. Obviously, someone who has done the swap would be a better source, but I was looking into it because I was wondering the same thing.

Rotor's, caliper's, that's it, Nothing could be simpler. I'd add stainlees line's thou, your there & it will feel alot better too!

 

i did the swap, it all looks like the same calipers and what not... but ive been told that the svt calipers are slightly bigger due to the thicker rotors, sadly i didnt compare them when i swapped over.. would have saved a hundred bux or so...

 

Are the SVT lines the same length as the regular ones? The kit comes with brake lines, is there a particular reason?

 

The kits I have seen for the 05 and up Foci come with the complete caliper assembly and rotors. No brake lines. However for the 04 and previous its a bit more involved and the brake lines are required. I don't believe brake lines are required for the 05 and up.

 

I have the 2011 FRPP catalog in front of me, and the picture for M-2300-SVTF5 2005-2009 Focus 300 mm front brake upgrade kit shows rotors, calipers, caliper mounting bolts, and brake lines. Are they just regular length lines? If so, then I'm gonna buy me some SVT front brakes.

 

Interesting. My information comes from CFM (or massive, I forget which site) pictures where their kit only shows the caliper and rotors.

 

i used my stock brake lines on my 2007 when i put on my svt front brake kit. All you need is the calipers,brackets, and rotors.

 

As far as brake line's go, you need you'll need a 10mm x 1 female to 10mm x male size 3 hose. Earl's part # = 630710_ _ ERL. Just measure the lenght you need & add that # in the blank's & order the hose's. Just make sure you have some slack when the wheel's are lock to lock, I you the same # for the rear to 63071018ERL= 18'' for the rear line's. Make's a big difference too! Like I said early, your right there busting the line's open, might as well upgrade the line's too. Just go to your local speed shop or warehouse.

 

I dont want to high jack this thread but it goes along with the question.

Does anyone know if there is a size difference in the calipers? I'm trying to fit some drag radials on my car and the caliper clearance is giving me problems. I've talked to some other guys running the same spec and size wheels i have but they have svt and i have a 05 duratec, and their calipers clear their wheels but mine dont. hence why I'm looking to do the conversion as well.

When I had my SVT brake's, I ran my stock 16'' wheel's for a while, until I got a set of SVT wheel's. The 16'' wheel's are 6'' wide & the SVT wheel's= all are 7'' wide, JFYI. I'd be running 17's= more tire choice's & size's too!
