Bought my 2004 EAP last month. The previous owner sent me the SVT certificate and I found out today is its birthday.

It's currently jacked up on some jack stands waiting for this weekends rounds of birthday gifts: new timing belt/idlers/pulleys, new motor mounts, and a new contour thermostat housing.

The previous owner is in the military, and he sent me this pic:

Pretty cool that my EAP has actually been all over Europe!

Can't wait to get it back on the road!

Nice looking. It's good your doing timing belt etc.
Yeah but he previous owner said he did the timing belt 20k ago.... And it did look like it was in good condition, but the Carfax didn't say anything about it and I was afraid he did "just" the timing belt.... I figured $140 worth of assurance was worth it. Now I can drive it with peace of mind! Or at least I will when I get it back together!

A little off topic... But here's my car's bigger sibling:

It's my 2001 Lightning. It's fully built, stage 3 ported heads/cams, 2.3 Liter Whipple Supercharger, full fuel system... Should be putting out around 615-620hp.

I did it all on my back under a carport!

The Whipple has a foil-type sticker that likes to lose adhesion and roll up when it gets hot. I bought some badges off a SVT Contour and trimmed them down a bit. Perfect fit!

I'm gonna keep my EAP mostly stock... Just keep it up on maintenance and keep it dependable so I can drive it while I continue to mod my truck. I'm excited about the prospect of having extended down-time to redo my fuel system and a few other mods while I drive my EAP....

Although... I have to admit... I can't keep from looking at turbos that would fit my car!

How about a supercharger instead? You'd really have a matching pair then. That lightning is freaking awesome, such cool trucks.

So if a European appearance package car is in Europe, is it just called an appearance package? Is that funny? Idk..

I thought about a procharger kit for my focus... But on smaller engines I think turbos are the way to go. Superchargers have so much parasitic loss!

I would have went turbo with my truck... But they're known for being supercharged and I felt going turbo would be sacrilegious!

Lol! Yeah I wonder what those Europeans thought about a EAP over there! I guess it just "appeared" to be European.... But he still had to change out the tail lights and add side blinkers to make it legit!
