Ill snap a picture of the DSW's on my fiance's car, unless its just an older tire, i didnt see much of a protection at the rim. Which i dont really care on her car since she has oem wheels but I wanted something a little more for my Team Dynamic wheels.

Anyways, the main reason i didnt get them for me was the $$. Its a really good tire, im sure if it was the same price as the ones i bought, i would have got them instead

edit
Just not much coverage right near the rim.

I've never had a issue w/ the sidewalls,,,,,,, Lets see what Continential did to improve the dws06,,,,

It wasn't really an issue. Alot of people just complained because they were soft under cornering..
I find they give up on my onramp= 1/8 mile two lane S curve onto the 405. I knew they'd give up in the summer, but are awesome in snowy/icy condition's. Wonder how the new dws06's compare to the Michelin sport as3's.

They do roll a little on hard cornering but I'll be giving the new ones a try by summer's end. The DWS is still a solid tire for being A/S but I am looking forward to a little less tire roll.

So your going to get a set of the dws06's, Ron?

I just got a set of the Michelin sport AS 3's... I love them so far. Swapped from the Potenza 960AS will be nice for a side my side to see how they perform relative to each other. A post said the new DWS would be coming out in May, have they come out yet and any one here get them?

They are DWS but might be an older version then:

OK I'll be that guy,

Why are you splurging for a 'performance' tire in a comfort size range and not using the tire to it's capabilities?
Just seems like money wasted to me.

... I'm looking at the edge of the tread and it doesn't look abused one bit.
Unlike mine that are torn, chopped and blistered. LOL

the tires are relatively new and they are on my fiance's car. We can get some pretty good winters here, DWS's are some of the best rated for snow. She does not drive as spirited as me but i do enjoy them when i drive her car
