ok well here goes,

I started my car this morning an waited 5 min for it to warm up (-15*C) i came back out to drive away an i got to the end of my drive way lone behold KERPLEWIE . took it to the dealer an i joined in doin the tear down with the ford technition we came to the conculsion that the oil pump failed approx 2min after startup . so there goin to order a new engine on monday even thow i have cams , intake , tb there still warenting the engine (becuase none of my aftermarket parts were the direct cause) how ever do to the unavailibility of a replacement 2.0L they are considering puttin in a 2.3L which dont hurt my feelings any .

[V] so im driving a track monster untill my ZX3 is fixed [:(]
 
that might be a sweet deal if they give you a 2.3.... more power to you [:)]

I am sad to hear about your engine.. after all that is the heart og our babies... but you might just get a better transplant [:)]

loose mods? NEVER i get those back btw hehe i still have my stock stuff here in a box cams are in a sealed bag with oil in it an Tb was wraped in a old pillow case neatly tucked away on a shelf , the flywheel is also in a bag with oil so ill go in this week an put it wall back in after the inspection is complete then they can ship it to michegan to have a few techs look in to the oil pump issue

Yea i am kinda happier that i got a 2.3 out of it but a part of me will always mis that strong soal an free will of the 2.0 , i could be the first 05 2.3 ZX3 i agree they have to change the ECU anyways so they just went for the 2.3 becuse the warehouse for ford is just down the street an it has 14 2.3L's in stock so yea availability came first .

Well then I guess we all can agree you made out REALLY well then.

LOL maybe so but its to close to christmas for this stuff to happen. anyone know what a 2.3L crate eng. has for hp?
 
youll probably see the same amount of gains from switchin to the 2.3L than with cams and intake and exhaust with a 2.0

lol im not complaining mazda an ford both told me the 2.3L crate engine has 170hp seems pretty high.....anyone got better numbers ?

only issue i have is i gotta wait 5k kms (break in period) to put my mods back in ahhh back to a stock car again DOH!
 
I wish my engine would die so I could get a 2.3L....:(
