lookin for those who live in the Michigan area
I live right off Woodward, just come out for dream cruise with wifey and I.Chas, Charlie, Charles the magnificent, while I don't agree with loudest exhaust competition, and glad I missed it. I understand meeting the demands of the attendees. Of that's something the majority wants, awesome. I can deal, with 10 minutes of organized noise.
There was an AWD? BMW covered in livery, with I think a cage. Who I wanted to punch the driver. As we were pulling out of the lot, to park in general public lot, he made his own lane to turn left, vs being behind us. Then, was full tilt racing around the surrounding blocks like a complete asswad.
Never mind the truck that almost ran my foot over in the parking lot, driven by the 16 year old kid, who did a burn out pulling out and almost hitting the curb.
I guess I'll stick to old people car shows. I don't care about penis competitions, I'll always lose. So keep yours tucked away, and enjoy the show, without being a *******. Arrive and leave with decency, don't put the lives of others at risk when you leave by being a Badass and showing that your car can do a burn out or your ctsv sounds worse than most Hondas.
The group I rode over from GR with consisted of some morons. Didn't know anyone there except one buddy. I'll stick to riding with people I personally know, instead of a caravan of 50+ idiots. I think it was mostly the size of the group more than anything. There were several tense braking moments and cars swerving all over to avoid rear ending people. Probably won't be doing it again.
The car show itself I didn't get to see any asshats in particular. The loudest exhaust competition is what it is, you either like it or don't. I was indifferent to it, you hear one loud V8 you've heard them all in my opinion. Yeah not sure why people still think giant subwoofers are cool though? Especially in a two tone early 2000's malibu...
I heard that caravan was a bit nuts. I ran into an old teacher from high school and his son was in that caravan. He said his buddy almost got taken out by a 240.The group I rode over from GR with consisted of some morons. Didn't know anyone there except one buddy. What's wrong with huge skateboard shoes? I love them, purely for comfort (the ankle support is unreal) + ease of use (the tongue is part of the body, no tying required). The huge black skate shoes when hes probably never touched a skate board in his life.
Wonder if it was the one with the huge turbo and the bronze Rota grids? Yeah there was some guy in the caravan on a bike...eff that.I heard that caravan was a bit nuts. I ran into an old teacher from high school and his son was in that caravan. He said his buddy almost got taken out by a 240.

Also, as far as subs go, I didn't like them until I had them. Back in December I fell ass backwards in to some extra money and was stuck in my '06 Fusion. I was desperate to spice it up and enjoy it. So I asked my radio guy if he could do subs which he could and he did 2 12s with a 1000W amp for 400. I thoroughly enjoy it. When I transferred it to the SVTF, I enjoyed it even more. But I don't typically keep my volume above 20. So. Maybe I'm the minority.
Yeah, 15 years ago I loved big subs when I first started driving cars. I had two stupid loud 12's that took up most of my trunk. I totally agree, I love bass and subwoofers. But now my ideal set up is a higher end tight sounding single 8" or 10" subwoofer with upgraded surrounding speakers instead of 2 of the biggest bottom of the line subs I can get in a huge ported box.Subs are great. I'm going to install them into my falcon. There is a difference between adding some depth to your music vs shaking the crap out of houses as you drive down the road.
Properly installed subs are amazing. Tuning and adjusting them are great. They add that little bit of punch required.
That said I had a big add system in my first car. We all do dumb things.
