Yes to first statement lol.
Driver's side turbo blew.
I got used turbos off Audizine from a guy with "10k miles on them." They looked great physically, but the driver's side blew in about 9,000 miles of it being on the car.
Thus, thanks to that [
][][][][][][], I'm out a large amount of money for the turbos + have to pull motor and trans for the second time. Thanks for Al or I'd be in a shit storm with no garage to do this in. Lift is almost required for the job.
All the seals on that side were destroyed. The impaler shaft is completely freely moving and the fins in the inlet are mostly all intact minus scuffing from the housing, but on the exit at the downpipe half the fins are ripped apart with chunks missing. I have easily 2-3 quarts of oil in my exhaust. It's currently draining of oil as we speak.
We will finish it this Saturday, as I already called off work one day. We broke a plastic fitting and had to wait for it to arrive yesterday, so now we are good to button everything up!

ooo! are those frankenturbos!?!? I've always lusted after a b5 s4 on frankenturbos but my wallet is terrified of the maintenance costs

No, because I want no issues with too much power. 300whp is good for me on the k03's. They are new Borg Warner's. I wish I could have a FT21 car too @ 430whp or an RS6 hybrid turbo S4 @ 600whp

one of my old bosses had a rs6 hybrid turbo s4 wagon making somewhere in the 500awhp range on "low boost"
he also had more money tied up in a transmission that held the power than my entire car was worth lol but lawddddddddddd was it fun to ride in, especially on c16 and high boost, the thing just squats and shoots to the next intersection, its teriffyingly awesome

I'm sure! A built tranny is like 2k minus clutch and other things. But it'll hold everything you can throw at it with the new collars and syncros
And yeah, those hybrids are sick. Like 18-20psi for 500+ whp

Damn that's shitty. A large part of me wants an s4 but like brad said I don't want the maintenance costs. Also why I stayed away from an e46 m3 that I came so close to pulling the trigger on. That grey focus that Al had is back up for 4k now with a blown head gasket lol

I wont go over miles, i drive 9600miles a year and i have 12k miles. I also work for dealership so i have ways of getting around stuff.
to me red is best color for lincoln mkz, too many white,black and silvers on the road. and i have a clean record.
Between focus se, vw golf and lincoln mkz, the lease is about the same for all. and since when was i not random? un random is boring.
