I remember putting a Kerker on a month old '77 KZ650 and one of the best sounding engines ever with it. It would click off 13.20 1/4 mi. all day long.

yeah it was more to say "suck this texas instruments" and prove a geek point. but they do have pocket rfi readers - be careful who accidentally bumps into you in the garage! ;-)

I think this was why ford changed the system later

It (or a similar version) is still in use as a backup, check the emergency instructions for the keyless systems to start the car in the MkIII's.

"Geek Point" was interesting reading to catch up on details I'd heard about in general.
