Another question for anyone awake, before I post in the audio sections. I have the 13 sedan, and wanted to add a little bit more bass to my music. But, I don't want to kill the limited trunk space. Would one sub, 10 or 12, be enough? I mainly listen to rock, punk, and dubstep/techno.

I work at best buy, and worked a quote, with install, for 2 10 inch subs, box, some kind of mat to prevent rattling, and install for around 400. Should I cut it to 1 10? Would save almost $75.

Bass preference is subjective. What I like may be too little or too much for you.

That said, if you simply want to add bass to you music, 1 x10 at 300-500W sgould be plenty.
What Al said. Your '13 hatch +one 10" in a decent ported box + 300-500 watts from a class d monoblock amp = sick nasty.

Suggestions:
Alpine E or R type sub and MRP-M350 or MRP-M500 amp.

I prefer Alpine due to previous experience. The MRP series monoblock amps are easy to tune, look decent and give you a lot of clean, crisp bang for your buck. The E type sub is a decent "entry-level" sub, while the R type is simply killer.

Well some cleaning done, off to bed, I may even get a new air intake for the car soon and start modifications.
