Last night wasn't too bad... Fairly uneventful. Watched "Savages" and "Lawless". Girlfriend made dinner... Went for gas and a few food items at like 9pm... Slept LOL

The question of the day is...

Can I hit 15,000 miles and 7500 posts in the same day??? Hmm...

Sonic, check your PMs in the next week or so. I have a idea you may like!!
I usually check them a few times a day, so... I'll be waiting...

A little chilly this morning

So far after 50+ miles on the current tank the car is still sitting on 85% trips on cold engine per the ecoguide. I forgot to pay attention to the outside temperature reading, but I think it might have been in the 20s-30s again. According to some weather sources its currently 33F

Auto climate on 80 and I see vent temperatures around 125.6-126F peak, way hotter than the seat at 89 on the seat back and 87 on the base.

I was nice and warm this morning driving into work with my heater turned 3/4 of the way up and it set to 2... Heater works pretty darn good

Hrm, what to do with the last few vacation days left. Was looking to use them the week of 12/24 which would allow me to basically take the rest of the year off. However I'd still have to make up half a day or lose the money for 4 hrs of work as I'm 4 hrs short of having 3 days of vacation left having only gotten 1 working week of vacation this first year here.

That would give me close to 11 days off of work including the two weekends as work does not start again until 1/2/13.

I'd love to take a longer road trip as I haven't done that in years, well I'm not counting the trips down to Cedar Point or Cincinatti as those trips were less than 5 hours one way and easily done in a straight shot.

The supposed shortest route between here and Knotts Berry Farm is over 2275 miles one way, that's a solid 36 hrs of driving per google, or 72 hours there and back. That would likely take 2-3 days of solid driving each way assuming there was no weather or road closures to mess with timing. Might be cheaper to fly to LAX and rent a pos car than to drive, definitely quicker though. I just have the strange desire to do something like this as I've not been to Knotts but its part of Cedar Fair's parks and is open year round so it would me a trip to ride the coasters out there where the parks are never closed.

Wouldn't push to do it in one straight shot by myself as that's insane. Also I haven't actually looked into the costs for the hotel/ motel/ etc which would probably burst the bubble making it unfeasible now that I decided on the computer rather than holding onto the money and waiting even longer.

36 hrs/3 days =12 hrs/day, its 18/hr/day if pushing for 2 days which is way too much driving in a single day.

Maybe that's not a good idea to take the trip, but it would be an adventure.

I'd ditch the Knotts idea and instead go to Magic Mountain in SoCal... Knotts is lacking much

Good morning crew. I was supposed to work today, but I woke up with a swollen eye. I'm worried I got pink eye : (. But no nasty crustyness so??

Good news is^=no work!!

On a positive note, I got my amp installation kit in yesterday. Now I'm just waiting for my back up camera and then the big install.

Oh and I also bought two AR-15 lower receivers yesterday(one for my dad). Plan to build the rest of it after tax return time.

I have the season pass for all the Cedar Fair parks but not the Six Flags parks though so that would cost more money, however if I went out that way at all I might go for 1-2 days at other parks as well just for the experience, but this is all theoretical at the moment.

I don't really know what's there yet as I have forgotten since the time I was last in the L.A. area 6 or 7 years ago and I didn't get to go to the parks while out there.

At a low estimate of 30 mpg the 4550 miles from here to knotts would burn 151.67 gallons of gas and for the purpose of completely over estimating fuel cost so the actual cost should be less, using $5/gallon this would equal $758.34 in fuel costs alone there and back, not sure I can afford that at the moment either, hence why it was a dream or a goal to get in a few rides before next May. Higher fuel econ figures, i.e. if I could get nearer to the 40 mpg mark (peak was 42.1 which would have been 108.1 gallons which over estimating $5/gal is 540, at 4.50 that's still $486 for the round trip, not sure what the actual average cost would be yet having not done this trip).

Yes I get it, I think too much rather than just going and doing, but if I did everything I wanted I'd probably get into so much trouble.

Ouch a non stop flight on expedia for that 11 day period, was $914 allegedly. Two stop possibly from $730, 1 from $760ish yeah some how that isn't going to fly. That's a bit pricey.
