Well, what this thread originally set out to be and what it's turned into are two different things LOL So, I'm leaving the original text and adding the Sonic Crew stuff for easier reference too...

Originally as my Build thread:

I'm going to take a page out of Twenty's book and start a thread that just has what I'm doing to my 2012 Focus SE. That way I'm not running three or four threads at one and filling up the FF servers with redundancy. Subscribe if you'd like, or ignore it... Consider this the "car blog" from "That Guy" LOL

And now... Sonic's Mk3 Crew Info:

Now that the logo is set and the crew is coming together... Here are the rules for membership. Take heed those that may want to join, we're a motley crew of trendsetters and boat rockers...

Suss, I Just measured the temp on my heated seats on 5 the best I could with the thermometor I have and after a 30 min ride home with them on the driver side was 103.7 and the passenger side was 101.8. Still not the 125 that the service manual says, but still higher than the 88-90 you are seeing.
Dealer lied to Ford and said they measured with the ids tool a sensor at 125F but they told me it only hit 90-100F and was in tolerance. So wtf, also why even after 30+ minutes it was still only at 90 tops. It was 73 when I got home after going to the store after work (ok maybe 15 minutes this time), it was still only 90F. Even after 30 minutes at 55 degrees it only got to 88. So what gives?

I think TiStick said it earlier. But is the service manual referencing the heat at the coil for their numbers or is that the number after the heat has passed from the coil through the padding and seat covering?

Is it possible that all the heat from the coil is not making it to the surface of the seat or dissipating before it reaches it?
How can you lose over 30 degrees in less than an inch of material that is designed for the heat to directly pass through? The pad is directly below the top cover, not underneath the foam padding.

80-90 is far less than 105+F at the surface as well, even though 105 is still far below the specified temp at the heater, there would need to be a difference in temperature for transfer to occur, but 30F is a bit excessive imo. And given enough time the mat and the seat cover should achieve equilibrium and there shouldn't be a difference in measurement at that point.

The dealer said one thing to me then said something else to the company. Of course they tried to cover their arse with the home office but that's of little excuse. Idk. Not terribly happy about it.

Have you ever been to usstandardissue.com? I can't remember if you need to be active duty or not, but great deals. If you need anything I can renew my membership.
YES. You must be AD or government. Unfortunately my membership has since expired. I've petitioned for them to allow disabled vets to continue their membership to no avail. I have a friend that is still AD and use his account regularly.

I appreciate the offer though brother!
