No signal at work. Brick + metal + 1/2 floor under ground = no signal EVER here for me. = no phone til off work or break/lunch. fml.
It's evil.
so i preload things to rear and news on the phone, add movies and shit prior to coming in lol.

So..........for fixing BMW I'm looking at
$2000 in shop labor plus $1000 ish in parts
or I could do it myself....still have the same $1000ish in parts plus I require at least $400 worth of special bmw tools which I do not currently have........tools/costs could get higher as I get into it.
all told it's looking like a 25-30 hour job.
do I DIY or do I just tow it to a shop and have them do it?

take to shop, then take a driving class that shows how to shift correctly.....

but depends if you have the know how and can do it in a timely manner if your wanting to get it back on road

Good point.
also at lunch am going to tack down complete parts list and just make sure the parts quote is in line with G.A.S. quoted me for parts.
the timing system on this motor is extremely complex and I'm a little worried that if I dont get it right I'll ruin the motor and then wind up paying G.A.S. to re-do it for me again.
