Another option would be to get the rgb version of the adhesive backed led from oznium and a cheapy controller from ebay, the 3 knob style. I have this setup in my Jeep, lets me vary all 3 leds separately. Ive been meaning to pick up another one of the controllers and do the same in the focus. But a sick part of me wants to use a crap-ton of el wire on the inside of my fofo, I think its the flowing lines doin it to me.

I've been looking to add to my ambient lighting for the back under the seat, and the doors. What's the best way to to this? I would like to have the colors the same, and still be able to control it with the overhead controls

I've noticed on Oznium that they offer an RGB Million. Does this mean, assuming I can figure it out, that I can somehow wire them in with my Ford ambient lighting system as the controller? Would they emit the same colors and could I control the strength of all of them with the controller knob?

Where could you wire those into on a 01 focus?

I figured since I had the red & black leather interior, I might go with some red surface mount led's under the front dash.
Picked up some pre-wired red surface mount led's for $3.50 each @ oznium and soldered them right to the pins going to the existing led's. They dim with the original lighting there as well. Couldn't have been easier, seeing I have limited soldering experience.

They are both rgb leds, the difficulty will come from finding the right wires. What i really want to know is can I buy the ambient lighting switch/controller by itself, then Ill wire in my own rgb leds. And is all the pre wiring there for power. Anyone know where I can buy the ambient lighting switch?

I can only guess Oznium or some other lighting sites would have after-market controllers. Previous posts had a couple different controllers in use. As for 'the' Ford controller like in the Ti, I am completely unsure.

I've also been under the impression you could wire into a fuse in the box and draw power for LEDs from there - one particular fuse being whatever controls the lighting when doors are ajar, so the LEDs could react in the same way. Am I on to something?

Nevertheless, I snapped some pictures of the LED circuit board. I'm guessing the 3 leads represent R, G and B, like you said.

Then there's the 3 wires - also R, G, and B, I'm sure. But like you said, which one is which?

I really want to wire in something like this - but how?! [mecry]
